Sweet Leila Romper

This is another sweet Leila romper, and is probably my most favorite. It's made from 100% cotton so it's nice and cool to wear during these hot summer months.

Sweet Leila

My sweet Leila is my official baby girl model from now on. Here she is sporting one of the rompers that mommy made

Baby Leila's Wardrobe

I had my sweet baby girl!! She makes 1 month today! One thing I did not realize while I was on a sewing high a couple months back and made her a bunch of outfits, is that a lot of the clothes I made were small and would only fit her for about 2 days. I forgot how quickly newborns grow!! Anywho, she will probably only get 1 use out of the following outfits, so of course I had to take pictures of my cutie pie in them.

This "dress" was stashed away with her "3 month old" clothes and when I found it, it was almost too late. haha. It barely fit around her chubby stomach but it looked super cute on her. So cute that I had to take her out of the house and show her off to the world. So I got myself and my son ready and we went to the local university to visit their Natural Arts Museum. My son had a blast and baby Leila slept the whole time, covered up in the car seat because the air condition was too cold, so she did not get to show off her cute dress. And did I mention that we were the only one's in the museum? haha. Well that's what pictures are for.
I was barely able to get this dress on her. Haha. She wore it for about 30 seconds and then I put her pajamas on and she fell asleep.

I absolutely loved this on her. It was nice and cool and PERFECT for Hawaii weather. She may be able to get one more use of out it!

Is is weird that all she does is sleep?....and cry and poop and eat.

I am so excited to make her clothes for when she gets a little older and isn't sleeping all the time and can actually show them off. =)

In the works: Baby Girl's wardrobe: Scrap dresses

I've started working on baby girl's wardrobe and have a few completed pieces. All these dresses/rompers were made from leftover fabric from past projects I've worked on. It's so hard for me to throw anything away but I'm glad I haven't because I was able to make a few cute pieces.

I loved this print when I first bought it but I don't know how much I like the style of this dress. I still have some more fabric left and I think I'm try something different.

I like the color of this dress but I dont know how much I like the actual dress. I messed up and made it a little too short. I'll probably make (or buy) black leggings to go this piece.

I LOVE rompers and they are PERFECT for Hawaii weather. I will definitely be making more of these.

This top was made from leftover fabric that I used to make a blouse for myself about 2 years ago. Once again perfect for Hawaii weather.
same style as former piece, just tweaked the spaghetti straps.

I made the top of this dress LONG time ago and it hung on our closet door as decoration for almost a year. I finally got the motivation to cut out the skirt and attach it to the top . Sweet and simple.

This is another variation of the yellow and purple flowered dress pictured above. It fits my son (yes he serves as my model sometimes =) so baby girl won't be wearing for a while.
As some may or may not know, I L.O.V.E ruffles. LOVE them. This was made from leftover material (of a dress I made??). Baby girl will definitely be getting more ruffles in the future!

Final scrap piece is this extremely soft jersey knit dress that I made from the fabric of cardigan I made for myself. (that was a long awkward sentence that could probably be worded better). It's small enough to fit a newborn so maybe she'll be sporting it on the way home from the hospital. =)
