1st of 20: Valentine Dress

So I made it a goal this year to sew 20 pieces of clothing for this little princess right here, who looks more like a scared peacock in the picture below. Hahaha! So in honor of Valentines I begin the journey. This is not my best work, nor is it my favorite dress. I really don't even like it that much but it's a start and I'm counting it as my first official piece of the new year.

Leila's Christmas Dress

Leila got a new Christmas dress. I've had this material for a long time and never knew what I wanted to do with it, I finally decided to make a dress for my little Leila bum. This was the first time that I cut and sewed without a pattern and I love how it turned out. The skirt is nice and full and I love the peter pan collar. The piping was a last minute added feature and I liked the way it turned out as well. The bow could had been made better but it was a last minute add on to and I only had 10 minutes before church.

Too many pictures of this girl.

Leila's Sunday best

I made this little dress a looooong ago and am only now putting it on my daughter. Its a tad bit to small but she was a cutie in it even though she was not too happy about taking pictures. =)

Kati's baptism

My best friend's daughter, Kati turned 8 and in our religion we have the privilege of being baptized. Kati wanted a Samoan puletasi to wear to the special occasion. She is the cutest, sweetest little girl and she looked adorable in her Samoan attire.
